AHP Receives Another Patent!


Virox Technologies Inc. has received yet another patent for Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide-based technology. The new patent (US 7, 632, 523 B2) protects our 1-minute intermediate level disinfectant formulation sold in Canada and the United States by  Diversey under the brand name Oxivir TB to the industrial and institutional market, and by SciCan in the dental market under the brand name OPTIM 33 TB. The patent also covers the 10-minute sporicidal surface product sold in Canada under the brand name RESCUE, as well as the teat dip formulation sold by DeLaval to the dairy industry. This now brings the number of issued patents to five with a further four patents pending.

AHP Receives FDA Approval!

The Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) Technology has been approved by the FDA in the United States. Registration is as an 8 minute high level disinfectant for the reprocessing of heat-sensitive critical and semi-critical devices and surgical instruments under the brand name Resert XL HLD and marketed by The Steris Corporation. Resert XL HLD is a ready-touse, device compatible, workplace safe, environmentally preferable alternative to OPA and gluteraldehyde disinfectants. SPORE NO MORE! Virox Technologies Inc. launches the RESCUE Intervention Program for C. difficile!


The RESCUE formulation is the first DIN registered surface sporicide in Canada and is available in a variety of formats (gel, liquid and wipes). Virox Technologies Inc. has been recognized by the EPA as a Champion in the Design for the Environment Program's Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI). Champion is the highest level of recognition offered under SDSI.
